Review & Description
From Elvis to Emmy Lou...Jumbo's are King! Fantastic Maple Jumbo guitar w/Solid Engelmann Spruce top, Nickel die-cast tuners, blond gloss finish, multi-layer binding, white pearl inlay...the list goes on!The AJ60S is part of Alvarez’s Artist Series, which brings together an impressive range of models, offering a variety of colors, styles, and sound textures to choose from: sunbursts, exotic woods, acoustic or acoustic/electric versions, cutaways, jumbos, dreadnoughts, classical, folk, 12-string, and more. Alvarez’s fine attention to detail, continued in the Artist Series, is what separates their guitars from the rest, and is why so many top musicians turn to Alvarez guitars. A broad range of artists play Alvarez guitars including, Graham Nash, David Crosby, Ani DiFranco, Alejandro Escovedo, and Kip Winger.
The AJ60S is one of Alvarez’s jumbo guitars, featuring a solid Engelmann spruce top, natural Maple sides and back, a classic white pearl sound hole rosette, and top-quality nickel die-cast tuners for smooth, fast, and accurate tuning. The jumbo is Alvarez's largest body--a full sounding guitar with bold projection and a bit more bass than the dreadnought. The guitar comes with Alvarez's patented Direct-Coupled rosewood bridge, which helps to ensure the maximum transfer of string energy to the solid spruce top for superior tone, volume, and projection. The highly polished frets allow for superb playability, even in the highest positions. The AJ60S offers a truly big sound with very strong bass response--an excellent choice both for beginning players as well as for the most advanced.
